In alignment with its mission to empower communities and its vision for a world where every individual has access to quality education and healthcare, Impact is embarking on a significant future project: the construction of St. John the Baptist Catholic School. This initiative is a direct response to the urgent educational needs of a growing student body, currently consisting of 82 pupils taught by 3 dedicated teachers in just 3 classrooms. The school’s current infrastructure lacks essential facilities, including toilets and an administrative office, highlighting the critical need for development and expansion to provide a conducive learning environment.
Bishop Michael Bibi, recognizing the importance of education in fostering community development and empowerment, has approved and released funds amounting to 3.5 million XAF for the construction of the school. This decision came after a heartfelt appeal from the parish priest and the mothers of the village, who visited the bishop to request support for the school’s development. Their advocacy underscores the community’s commitment to enhancing the educational landscape and ensuring that their children have access to the opportunities they deserve.
